The NieR series is well-regarded for many reasons; however, one of the less-talked-about features is the games' standout soundtracks. The moving music works in harmony with what's happening on the screen and in the story to make the complete package a real masterpiece. And now, everyone can enjoy those tunes whenever they want. Square Enix and Platinum

" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">announced today that NieR's soundtrack and several musical collections are now available on streaming platforms.

Among the music released is, of course, the NieR: Automata OST. There is also a selection of unreleased tracks, a piano collection, and something called "15 Nightmares and Arrange Tracks". Finally, the Nier Gestalt and Replicant collection round out the set. All told, there are 132 songs included in today's release, which should keep your ears satisfied for quite a while.

Of course, this release only adds fuel to the fire that some type of NieR related announcement is forthcoming. 2020 is the tenth anniversary of the original NieR and the team recently opened up a teaser website, which sent some fans (raises hand) into a tizzy. So far, there's been almost no action on that page; however, it just doesn't make sense for them to do basically nothing with it. All that said, this release could just be something of a celebration around the ongoing orchestra series. Either way, it's nifty to have access to NieR music whenever I want it.

If you want to see what all the hubbub is about, NieR: Automata is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Or, if you just want the music, head to a streaming service like Spotify and give it a listen.
