Nier's Yoko Taro first venture into the world of Card-based RPG games with Voice Of Cards. Here's a first look detail of the teaser trailer.

Today, Square Enix confirmed the arrival of Yoko Taro's Card-based RPG Game Voice of cards: The Isle Dragon Roars with a teaser trailer. The announcement puts to rest all speculation regarding the game made over the past few months after Sony Asia accidentally leaked some images on their game listings in August.

Apart from Yoko Taro, the teaser trailer showcased other Japanese stalwarts working on the game like Keiichi Okabe & Yosuke Saito. Voice of Cards marks as the sixteenth creative project of Yoko Taro's 30 years long career.

A Japanese version of Hand of Fate

The teaser trailer of the game does not reveal much about the gameplay or other story elements. But on a closer look, the art style of the card, along with the writings, reminds us of the popular card-based RPG game, Hand of Fate.

Even the final cut of the trailer revealing the Name Card has a very close resemblance to the game. If Voice of Cards turns out to be similar, players are in for a great treat as Hand of Fate is one of the deepest and lore-based card games out there.

As mentioned earlier, Sony Asia leaked the images of the upcoming game on their PSN Channel. So, many gaming enthusiasts were wondering if it is PlayStation exclusive.

On examining previous releases from Yoko Taro & Square Enix history with Sony, Voice of cards may be an exclusive Playstation title, however, we still need to wait for an official confirmation from Square Enix regarding the platform support for the game.
