One of 2017's most anticipated indie releases, Night in the Woods, is almost here. As you may remember, last month developer Infinite Falls announced that the adventure game was hitting PS4, PC, Mac, and Linux on February 21, 2017. And this is still the case, as long as you're not in Europe and plan on playing on the PS4. If you're from Europe and plan on playing on the game on PS4 -- bad news -- today, Infinite Falls announced the game has been pushed back a week. The news came from the game's official Twitter account, which revealed the delay is due to a "bunch of random factors."

Night in the Woods -- once a Kickstarter hopeful -- is an adventure game focused on exploration, story, and character, and that features dozens of characters to meet and lots to do across a lush, vibrant world.

The game stars college dropout Mae Borowski, "who has returned home to the crumbling former mining town of Possum Springs seeking to resume her aimless former life and reconnect with the friends she left behind. But things aren't the same. Home seems different now and her friends have grown and changed. Leaves are falling and the wind is growing colder. Strange things are happening as the light fades."

Night in the Woods will cost $19.99 USD when it launches. However, if you preorder the game on PS4 you can receive a preordering discount of 10 percent. You can check out the game’s latest trailer below, as well as a slab of screenshots:
