Nikkei Reports that Seaman for 3DS Could Be a Thing

Seaman creator Yoot Saito hinted back in June 2010 that he hoped to see the game ported to the Nintendo 3DS. Almost two years later, as Nintendo seeks to bring third-party publishers on board the 3DS wagon, it looks like Saito and Seaman may be among the new additions to the party.

Nikkei has reported that in the tradition of Ocarina of Time, Nintendo is looking to port games from other publishers onto their popular handheld and mentions Seaman explicitly. For those of you are too young or out of the loop to remember it, Seaman is a Dreamcast virtual pet sim with voice-over provided by Leonard Nimoy.

My fondest wish is that Nimoy returns to provide narration for the 3DS port, because nothing is more entertaining than raising one of the above man-faced fish to the soothing tones of Spock.
