In an interesting twist, Team Ninja has revealed that the upcoming PS Vita port of a port Ninja Gaiden Sigma will implement the device’s touch screen for its controls. The revelation comes by way of studio head Yosuke Hayashi. It’ll be interesting to see how a game like Sigma will handle with a touch interface, and if the game’s reception will be as high as that of the DS title Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword.
I’m not at all salty about the touch controls but I wonder what made NG Sigma a better choice than NG Sigma II. Why remake a port of an original Xbox game when you can remake a port of an Xbox 360 game? Perhaps if this one sells enough we’ll see that at some point, but that’s extremely early considering Ninja Gaiden Sigma for PS Vita doesn’t have a release date yet.
