Ninja Is Now a Fornite Skin as Epic Games Announces Icon Series

Epic Games has announced the Icon Series for Fornite, and to kick it off the first creator to get a skin in-game is, of course, Ninja.

It seems like a long time coming, but Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, best known for being arguably the biggest Fortnite content creator is finally an in-game skin. And yes, it has his iconic blue hair.

For a good year or so, I’ve seen the streamers fans screaming on social media for Epic Games, the developers of Fortnite, to add a Ninja skin. Well, it seems as if they’re getting one now as Blevins took to Twitter to announce that he is going to be the latest skin to purchase in-game.

The skin is called “Ninja Fortnite Skin” surprisingly. It’ll be available to grab on January 16 at 7:00PM ET until January 19th. It’s mostly blue, features a headband which Ninja often wears during streams, and includes his iconic logo on his shoulders. It also includes a Ninja emote and Dual Katanas Pickaxe, and Ninja’s Edge Back Bling.

The skin is also part of the “Icon Series” a new series that looks to find popular icons being given skins in the game. We’ve already seen Major Lazer and Marshmello collab with the game, but the Icon Series has been officially announced and Ninja appears to be kicking it off. There are more icons heading to the series such as LoserFruit and TheGrefg as well as “more creators from games, music and entertainment.”

Blevins has achieved a lot, going from streaming himself playing Fortnite on Twitch, to playing the game in front of unimpressed people at Times Square for the 2019 New Year, to leaving Twitch to stream exclusively on Mixer. He’s pals with Ellen and even Drake and has appeared on the cover of ESPN.

Now, players will be able to play as their favorite creator in the game, that’s if they can bring themselves to let go of the Stormtrooper outfit.
