During Gamescom, Ninja Theory showcased a "vertical slice" demo of its upcoming Game Hellblade for PS4 and PC. I actually enjoyed it quite a lot, but apparently it has been retired by the developer, that is starting production "afresh."

That said, they're not restarting development from scratch. They're actually moving forward "as expected," and into full production:

Despite entering a new phase in production, the studio is still committed to its concept of open development for the game:

Personally, as I mentioned above, I found the demo quite interesting, and I thought it had some intriguing ideas. Sure, combat was slow and a little clunky, but I really hope they keep the concept of technical sword fighting with parries and ripostes in the upcoming iterations. I had a lot of fun with that.

Update: apparently, the first tweet, that you can still read at the top of the post, was deleted, as it led people to think that the game's development was completely rebooted. The following tweets clarified, mentioning that production has not been restarted, but is simply moving to the next phase.
