Nintendo 3DS Software Update is a Go

December 7, 2011

If you’re anxious to keep your sleek 3DS as up-to-date as possible, you might want to crack it open and log on to the eShop right now, because a new system update for the device is available. As usual, prepare to have it sitting in the cradle or otherwise plugged in to an outlet to follow through with the update.

This update includes some new content for the street pass Mii Plaza, as well as the inclusion of 3D video recording (keep your mind out of the gutter, guys!). With the update, you’ll also be able to transfer downloaded content between 3DS systems, in case your battery dies and you have to cash in that snazzy Nintendo warranty to get a new device. The update takes a few minutes, but you’ll be back to your Mario Kart-ing in no time.
