Start your engines-- Nintendo has announced a new collaboration that will bring Mario Kart inspired Hot Wheels to stores next June for $4.99 each.Announced through a post on the official Hot Wheels Twitter account, the new cars will feature Nintendo's standard cast of characters, including Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Rosalina, Wario, Peach, Toad, and Bowser.

This isn't the first collaboration between Nintendo and Hot Wheels. Two years ago the companies announced a line of cars that resembled characters from the Mushroom Kingdom, including, a Donkey Kong themed van, a Yoshi themed pickup truck with a crane, and a Mario themed bread truck.

While the new cars certainly look like they channel the spirit of Mario Kart, we'll have to wait and see if they'll cause you to get into a screaming match with your friends, you know, just like the game.

If you can't wait until next June to channel your inner child, you can check out the previously mentioned 2016 Super Mario Bros Hot Wheels here. Additionally, if you'd like to snag Mario Kart 8 Deluxe in the meantime, you can pick up a copy on Amazon here.
