Nintendo Announces New 3DS Color

By John Colaw

August 10, 2011

Despite a recent price drop, waning interest in the platform and what many would call a simply underwhelming selection of games, Nintendo is up to their old tricks and announcing a new color of the 3DS: Flame Red. This is an especially odd move, considering we KNEW a red version was coming since half the stock images Nintendo has been using and sending out have been of the red one. But I digress.

This new color will be available on September 9th alongside Star Fox 64 – 3D, yet another in a strangely long line of Nintendo 64 ports. So if the only reason you haven’t picked a 3DS up yet is because you don’t like blue or black, you’re in luck!
