Nintendo has held some kind of Nintendo Direct in September nearly every year since the program's inception, and 2019 will be no different. People have been speculating about a new Nintendo Direct ever since an officially licensed Overwatch Nintendo Switch case leaked on Amazon, and today Nintendo finally confirmed on Twitter that one is coming tomorrow, September 4.Specifically, the Nintendo Direct will be taking place at 6pm ET and will focus on Nintendo Switch titles releasing in 2019. There are still quite a few interesting fall releases for Switch like The Sinking City and Samurai Shodown that don't have solid release dates in North America yet, so hopefully we learn more about those during it. In the announcement, Nintendo does name drop Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield as well as Luigi's Mansion 3. Considering both of those titles release within the next two months and we still don't know a lot about them, it will probably be beneficial for Nintendo to spend a bit more time on those games during the 40 minute Nintendo Direct.

The Nintendo Direct will be livestreamed by Nintendo in the usual places, and you can bookmark this page if you want to watch it via the embedded video below. Of course, you should also expect full coverage of the Direct's announcements from DualShockers.
