Nintendo DSi Might Have Bigger Screens This Year

According to the Japanese newspaper Nikkei, Nintendo will be introducing a new version of the DSi that replaces the current 3.25″ screens with sexier 4″ screens later in the year. The new system “upgrade” will replace the current DSi and will continue to hold its current $205.50 price tag. I will have to say that this is a very nice freebie, if you ask me. The Japanese newspaper reports that the new updated screens will be accompanying DSi’s sometime this year in Japan, but plans for other countries have yet to be made.

Will this really come into fruition? I’m not too sure, but I’m a bit on the “yes” side since Nikkei is known for their accuracy. Plus, why not have better hopes for a bigger screen? You can check out the article on their website, if you’re fluent in Japanese.
