With the debut of the Nintendo Switch earlier this year, Nintendo had plenty to show off at this year’s E3 2017 for fans new and old to look forward to, and as the last presentation of E3 2017, Nintendo managed to deliver quite a bit on expected titles and a few surprises along the way.
Nintendo’s Spotlight presentation for E3 2017 has concluded, and overall there is plenty for Nintendo fans to look forward to across this year, next year, and beyond from many of Nintendo’s most prominent franchises.
At the top of the pack came the big surprises of the newly-announced Metroid Prime 4 for Nintendo Switch now entering development, and while the game itself wasn’t actually shown, there’s still plenty to be excited about in the return of Metroid and Samus Aran. Other surprises from the presentation included a new Kirby title coming in 2018, the confirmation of a mainline Pokemon game for the Switch, a new Yoshi title, and the surprise reveal of Rocket League for the Switch.
Some of the more expected reveals included a new trailer for Super Mario Odyssey and a confirmation of the game’s release in October of this year, a new trailer for the upcoming Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (arriving this holiday), a look at Fire Emblem Warriors, and much, much more.
