The Christmas season is -- for many -- one of nostalgia, and nothing strikes at the nostalgic heart of gamers more than Nintendo Power. The Nintendo-sponsored magazine ended its 24-year run in 2012, though spiritual successors have popped up in the interim. However, yesterday Nintendo revealed that they will be re-launching the publication as "Nintendo Power Podcast."

Even better, Nintendo Power Podcast is drawing from some serious industry talent. As a blast from the past, the podcast is headlined by the previous Editor-in-Chief of Nintendo Power, Chris Slate. Joining him on the bill is Damon Baker -- a Nintendo publishing representative -- and Kit Ellis, half of the Nintendo Minute team.

To start off the first episode of Nintendo Power Podcast, the team is discussing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild with legendary Eiji Aouma and Hidemaro Fukibayashi. And while that game has been out for multiple months, a post-mortem is always appreciated. Especially for a game that is topping the top 10 lists for the first two editor's Top 10 games of 2017.

It isn't immediately clear how regular the podcast will be -- if it is weekly, monthly, or just whenever they have something interesting to talk about. However, it is already available on Soundcloud, iTunes, and Google Play Music for anyone interested.
