Project Mekuru is a competitive tile-flipping title announced today for Nintendo Switch, in which up to four players jaunt across a board, cannonballing into tiles to try and change the surrounding area to their own color. Whoever colors the most of the board is the winner of the match.

However, there are a few caveats to this. It seems that flipping certain tiles will unlock special abilities such as faster movement, changing the pattern effect from cannonballing the board, or even strengthening that effect. Watch out, though! Your opponents are also trying to remove you from the board with their waves of color.

The game will allow for both online multiplayer and local multiplayer. Project Mekuru will be released sometime this summer.
