Nintendo of America has posted new information on Twitter today regarding Intelligent Systems’ new 3DS game Code Name: S.T.E.A.M.‘s character Henry Fleming.

Fleming has been one of the primary characters displayed in Code Name: S.T.E.A.M.‘s marketing, and is a member of Abraham Lincoln’s elite squad of alien killing soldiers. The new image reveals that Fleming’s weapon, the Eagle Rifle, fires three “extremely patriotic” shots per attack, has “Range A” and features a special ability where he can throw an eagle at his foes that explodes for massive damage.

Interestingly, the image states that the character is “Overwatch Capable: Yes,” an ability that in most tactics games refers to a character forgoing offensive actions to perform defensive reaction attacks during the enemy’s turn. This strongly suggests that some characters are incapable of performing the action, which could introduce an interesting wrinkle to strategic gameplay. Other possibilities include characters that simply do not have offensive weapons and therefore would not be able to perform a defensive reaction attack in overwatch mode.

The new information is just a small tease of what’s to come, but a fun piece of information to analyze in anticipation of the latest effort from the studio that developed Advanced Wars and Fire Emblem. You can expect to play Code Name: S.T.E.A.M.‘s silver age comic inspired turn-based tactics action on the 2DS and 3DS systems March 13th, 2015.
