Today Hori announced that it will release three officially licensed classic GameCube-style controllers for Nintendo Switch

The controllers are similar to the models previously released for the Wii U, and they're themed on Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Pikachu from Pokémon.

They will be released in Japan in October, each priced at 3,218 yen including taxes. That's a rather affordable $29 at the current exchange rate.

The controllers are designed for the Switch, but since they're Xinput compatible, they can be used on PC as well. They're wired and connect via USB.

They measure 141 by 103 by 69 mm, and they weigh approximately 230 grams. The cable length is a whopping three meters, which is something I love.

We even get some limited configuration features allowing you to switch the L/R and the ZL/ZR buttons. Autofire is also included for A, B, X, Y, R, L, ZL, ZR, and directional cross, with settings for five, ten, and twenty button inputs per second.

At the moment a western release has not been announced, but you can check out all the controllers below.
