Media Create's own analysis mentions that that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe enjoyed a smooth debut in Japan, and the Switch itself is tracking above the Wii U in terms of sales in the same time frame, with 835,867 units sold against about 758,000.
At an equivalent point in time, the Wii U had already started to decline, while the Switch is still going strong, and considering that more heavy-hitting game are scheduled for release at regular intervals for the future, Media Create concludes that the new console is expected to spread at a faster pace than its predecessor.
