Nintendo Switch Online is Adding Donkey Kong 3, Wrecking Crew, and a Rewind Feature on July 17

Fans of the NES classics on Nintendo Switch Online will get Wrecking Crew and Donkey Kong 3 next week, alongside a handy new rewind feature.

Since its debut last year, Nintendo Switch Online has steadily built up an audience of Switch owners looking to take their gaming experiences online with friends. Of course, the other added benefit for the service is its expanding collection of new NES-era games to enjoy either solo or with friends online, with the next update to take place in just over a week from now.

Nintendo has announced that the next additions for the the Nintendo Switch Online's NES game collection will be Donkey Kong 3 and Wrecking Crew, with both games to be added to the service on July 17, 2019. For those unfamiliar with either game, you can check out these descriptions below from Nintendo:

Wrecking Crew – In the days before Mario and Luigi became sports stars in their downtime from saving the princess, they tried their hands as one-man wrecking crews. With a hammer as their only tool, take control of the brothers and set out to destroy ladders, rip out pipes, knock out walls and detonate explosive devices. But make sure to plan your path of destruction carefully, as each building is designed as its own clever puzzle.

Donkey Kong 3 – Based on the third game in the enormously popular arcade series, Donkey Kong 3 introduces an exterminator named Stanley as he desperately tries to protect the flowers in his greenhouse from Donkey Kong. Armed only with a can of bug spray, Stanley must force Donkey Kong higher and higher into the greenhouse rafters until Donkey Kong is off the screen and the next stage is reached.

In addition to the new games coming to the service next week, Nintendo also revealed that the July 17 update will also bring a new Rewind feature across all games in the NES library. Players will be able to activate the feature on Nintendo Switch Online by holding the ZL and ZR buttons while playing a game, giving players a chance to take another shot at a challenging section of a game or give it another shot.
