So, you’re booting up your Nintendo Switch and hopping onto the Switch Online service to enjoy some classic NES games. You load up Metroid or Super Mario Bros. or Excitebike and start your game session. But something just feels off. The gameplay is great, but it just doesn’t feel like it when you were a kid. There’s just something too….round about your controller. You miss that square-shaped controller that came with the NES. Well, Nintendo has some good news for you. From now until January 10, Switch online members can take 50% off Nintendo’s wireless NES controllers for the Switch. Give those beauties a look below.

Normally, this two-pack of NES controllers will run you $59.99 regularly but are down to $29.99 during this sale. Granted, you need to be a Switch Online member; however, chances are if these are something you’re interested in, you’re already a subscriber. The set of two controllers are fully rechargeable and will pair with a Nintendo Switch Lite. That said, you’ll need a Nintendo Switch with detached Joy-Con to charge the controllers.

The controllers will be available while supplies last. Fortunately, you can only buy one per Nintendo account, which will hopefully do enough to neuter resellers. Of course, if you really want them, it would be smart to get in as early as possible to ensure they’re available. Hopefully, we soon see a similar sale on the wireless SNES controllers for Switch. The NES controllers are nice, but the SNES was my first console, so I have quite a bit of nostalgia for them.

These NES controllers will be on sale until January 10, so you have some time. However, don’t wait too long as Nintendo is only running the sale while supplies last.
