Nintendo has been making a rather extensive effort in positioning the Switch as a console for a young and active generation, and today they released a new "Spring 2018" trailer for Japan that keeps rolling that drum.

Being spring-themed, the traditional cherry blossoms are a fitting opening, and we get the usual message "anytime, anywhere, with anyone" conveyed by a bus ride, a meeting at a cafe, and a wild beach party playing Mario Tennis Aces.

Funnily, I have been in Tokyo for the past two weeks, and I haven't seen a single Switch being played outside anywhere, but I don't take buses and I didn't go to any beach party, so maybe I'm the one doing it wrong.

Jokes and anecdotal evidence aside, the console is certainly selling very well in the country, so while it might be used primarily indoors, Japanese gamers certainly find the concept and its portability appealing.
