Since the console debuted back in March, the Nintendo Switch has not only proven to be popular among gamers but also a hard-to-come-by item in stores, though Toys 'R Us might be your best chance to pick up a system this week if you're still without one.

Speaking to Polygon, a Toys 'R Us representative confirmed that limited quantities of the Nintendo Switch will be in stock at Toys 'R Us locations across the US, though the systems will only be available to in-store customers rather than online.

The spokesperson explained that "much like our previous Nintendo Switch inventory drops, we recommend that customers get in line before doors open on Friday morning for a chance to purchase," giving ample time to prepare for an early Friday if you're still hoping to grab a Nintendo Switch.

The Nintendo Switch released in early March 2017 and has since proven to be a hard to find item for most consumers due to limited shipments of the console being released by Nintendo to retailers. So far, though, a report from Superdata puts the console's estimated sales somewhere around 2.4 million units since its launch, with the system being bolstered by a steady lineup of titles such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the WildMario Kart 8 Deluxe, and the upcoming ARMS and Splatoon 2 this summer.
