As reported by Nintendo Life, a Twitter user by the name of Tee has posted a video, which they claim was accidentally uploaded on Nintendo of America's official YouTube channel then subsequently unlisted, and this video advertises the return of Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers for North American Switch owners.RELATED: Nintendo Switch Production Reportedly Set To Increase Later This YearThough fabrication is always a possibility, the video is quite competently edited and has that distinct Nintendo Direct style. Regardless, even if real, there's no way to know when Nintendo originally planned to upload this video, and thus when this feature is set to go live. Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers was a feature available for members of the console's online membership, and, as the following video explains, they allow users to get two full-priced games at a discount.

Vouchers are sold in pairs for $99.98, and each Voucher will net you one full-priced game, so you'd save approximately $20.00 total. You can only redeem games from a predetermined list, unfortunately. However, according to the video, Nintendo will add some of its larger first-party titles, including some fairly recent ones.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild will all be redeemable. The voice-over in the video states that vouchers can also be used to pre-order select games, and seen in the background graphic are two Nintendo games that have yet to release, which are Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, and Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon.

Nintendo first-party games, Zelda and Pokemon, are notorious for never permanently lowering their retail value, always staying at full price, except for the occasional sale. So, if you're a recent Switch owner and looking to take advantage of the console's strong back catalog of titles, this Voucher system is definitely quite worthwhile. Many would, of course, hope that Nintendo's most anticipated game of the year, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, is included in this Voucher system, though, at this point, all we can do is wait and see.

The Voucher system is currently available for regions outside the US, like Europe, and it actually was available in the US before but was canceled in 2019 for unknown reasons. Fans are celebrating this trailer and hoping the feature is confirmed soon, as it's an easy way to save money if you're already an avid Nintendo consumer.
