Nintendo Tokyo to Open Doors in November, Grand Opening Merch Revealed

Nintendo Tokyo will be opening its doors on November 22nd in the Shibuya district of Tokyo, featuring plenty of exclusive merchandise.

Nintendo Tokyo, the first Japanese store of its kind, will be officially opening its doors on November 22nd. The store will be located in the new Shibuya Parco shopping center that’s currently getting its finishing touches in Tokyo’s Shibuya district, close to the famous Shibuya Scramble intersection and statue of loyal dog Hachiko. The actual place itself will be on the 6th floor.

To celebrate the grand opening, there will be merch that can’t be purchased anywhere else (although you can check out the online store right now). This includes a special procession illustration featuring many of Nintendo’s iconic characters, in which you can see decorating much of the items. Pictured below are all the goodies that will be available once Nintendo Tokyo opens, as well as the prices in yen:

Elsewhere, there’s a Pokemon Center London popup store that’s selling strictly Pokemon merchandise. Otherwise the only other Nintendo store is the one based in New York City, US.

Recently a stylish 25th anniversary Pikachu watch was revealed, as part of a collaboration between Japanese watch brand BABY-G and The Pokemon Company, which reveals a constant: that great Pikachu merch will continue to flow from our Pokemon Company overlords.

Pokemon Sword and Shield will be released for Nintendo Switch on November 15th. Meanwhile check out a write-up from one of our DualShockers own, in which he claims this will be the series title to reignite his passion for the series. You can preorder Sword here and Shield here.
