Nintendo Will Release a Yellow 3DS XL Pikachu Edition on March 24th

To coincide with the launch of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, Nintendo will be releasing the recently teased “Pikachu Edition” of the 3DS XL in all of its brightly colored yellow glory. The handheld will be priced the same as the current 3DS XL, despite the amazing paint job. So if you’re looking to show the world your love of everyone’s favorite Pokemon you’ll be spending the usual $199.99 when you pick up the handheld on March 24th.

Players planning on picking up both Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity and a new 3DS XL system (not just the Pikachu edition) can look forward to one more free game. Here’s the info straight from Nintendo:

Anyone who registers a Nintendo 3DS XL system and either Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity or Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon with Club Nintendo between March 21 and April 30 will receive a code to download one of five Nintendo 3DS games for free: Super Mario 3D LandProfessor Layton and the Miracle MaskArt Academy: Lessons for Everyone!Star Fox 64 3D or Freakyforms Deluxe: Your Creations, Alive!
