Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto Debuts New Mario Maker Trailer at The Game Awards

With The Game Awards 2014 currently underway, new trailer will be popping up left and right for some of the big upcoming titles of the next year in-between awards for this year’s champions, with the debut trailer coming from Nintendo’s Shigeru Minamoto himself.

At the start of The Game Awards 2014, Miyamoto came through via a video to show off a brand new trailer for the upcoming Wii U-exclusive Mario Maker, where players can create and share their own Mario-inspired creations and levels, with the trailer showing off more gameplay and what to expect from the game.

In particular, the new trailer showcase several new styles that players can create their levels with: previously players could switch between the classic 8-bit Mario style and the style of the more recent New Super Mario games, with the trailer showing that other gameplay styles from different generations of Mario games will also be available to utilize in the game, with players able to switch between them at will while creating a level.

Mario Maker will release for Wii U in 2015 – in the meantime, you can check out the new trailer below straight from The Game Awards 2014:
