Nippon Ichi Software has been fairly close to Nintendo lately but looks like they really like the style of the house of Mario and Zelda, so much that they have pretty much imitated the Nintendo Direct.
Today they broadcasted a brief video in which President Souhei Niikawa showcases the upcoming games from the prolific developer and publisher.
After a look at trailers that we have already seen, we get the announcement of three new games. The first is Usotsuki Hime to Moumoku Ouji, which translates as Princess Liar and the Prince Blind. It's a rather interesting story in which a monster disguises himself as a princess to trick a blind prince.
The second new game is Project Nightmare, a horror game that appears to include plenty of live-action footage, mostly shown in first-person perspective.
Last, but not least, Niikawa-san announces a remake of the 2003 PS2 classic Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, which started the series. No footage was shown, and no platforms were announced for any of the three new titles showcased.
Funnily, there is one more tease. At the end of the video, Niikawa-san touches a folder named "secret files" and alongside his pictures, we get to see the mention of a "plan for new Disgaea project" and an "XXX Remake Project." This appears to hint at the fact that a new Disgaea game is coming, alongside a remake of another old game.
You can enjoy the video below. In other Nippon Ichi news, today we got the release dates for the west of the upcoming The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 for PS4.
