Recently, Japanese reporter Reiji Asakura--author of Revolutionaries at Sony: The Making of the Sony Playstation and the Visionaries Who Conquered the World of Video Games--tweeted that he was told by Sony that the PS4 will not support CD, or SACD (Super Audio CD):

Is this a step forward or a step back? Personally, I haven't used a CD disc to transfer my data since USB cords and memory drives came into play. I can't see it being a major issue since most things--especially music--are digital, but is it important to you?
