No Man’s Sky Is Coming to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S Next Month

Developer Hello Games has announced that No Man's Sky is coming to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S next month as launch titles.

In a post on their website, developer Hello Games has announced that No Man’s Sky will be available at launch for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. This is a part of the game’s 3.10 patch. You can watch the announcement trailer below.

Players who already own the game on Xbox One or PS4 can upgrade to the next-gen version for free. Your save data will also carry over to the new version. Additionally, the game will feature crossplay across all platforms so everyone can explore planets together. The PS5 and Xbox Series X version will support 4k 60FPS performance while the Xbox Series S version can be customized to 30FPS or 60FPS.

For PlayStation 5 players, the game will support PlayStation VR through the console’s backward compatibility feature. The PS5’s haptic feedback and 3D audio features are supported as well. Additionally, load times will be roughly ten times faster than the current-gen versions of No Man’s Sky. The 3.10 update also lets console players, both current and next-gen, do multiplayer with up to 32 players. Besides the next-gen upgrades, the patch includes various fixes to the current-gen versions of the game. These range from performance improvements to quality of life enhancements.

Since its launch in 2016, No Man’s Sky has continued to receive new major content updates. Last month, the game released its Origins update which includes new planets to explore among other things. Additionally, the game also added crossplay for PS4, Xbox One, and PC players back in June and a feature that lets players create their own audio. More recently, Hello Games announced a Halloween themed update that includes new material to discover and tougher enemies to fight.

No Man’s Sky is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 10 and 12th respectively.
