Hello Games' No Man's Sky may have started with a rocky launch period; however, the team has done quite a bit to improve their space-faring survival adventure.  From the Foundation update to this year's Beyond, the developers have continuously made the game much more of an exciting experience. Next up, the team is introducing the Synthesis update, which adds a ton of "frequently-requested" features.

As you can see, there is a lot to unpack for this new update for No Man's Sky. The lead feature seems to be the changes coming to starships. With this update, you'll be able to make several updates to your favorite starship, even leveling up its class. If you have starships you no longer want you can now salvage them for scrap, getting valuable products and technologies in return.

Hello Games is also switching up how you interact with terrain. Now, you can restore and flatten terrain you've messed with, letting you restore the landscape as needed. The Terrain Manipulator also has new visual effects that seem to make it easier to see exactly what you're doing. Once you've altered the terrain in your base to the shape you want, you can now protect it from regeneration.

In a number of ways, this update is mostly focused on improving the quality of life for players. The Synthesis update is packed with new content. In addition to all the above, players can look forward to better inventory management, new technologies, base building improvements, and much more. If you're a No Man's Sky player, I highly suggest you go read the full patch notes and see everything that's coming.

No Man's Sky is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The Synthesis update is out now, so get in there and see what's new.
