I know, I know: Mark Hamill has said a few times he was going to quit being the Joker, and, as always, I wished it wasn't true. Even with an in-depth narrative promised for Injustice: Gods Among Us' story mode, Ed Boon has confirmed--via Twitter--that while they have a great voice actor, Mark Hamill will not be joining the cast.

A quick look on IMDB reveals the voice behind the Joker is Richard Epcar, a longtime anime and video game voiceover expert who has lent his talents to everything from Lupin the 3rd, Robotech, and VR Troopers to Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Dead or Alive Dimensions, and Call of Duty: Black Ops II. In fact, he's not just a veteran voice actor, but a veteran with NetherRealm Studios, having voiced Raiden in 2011's Mortal Kombat.

So can a god of thunder replace a clown prince of crime? We'll see when Injustice: Gods Among Us releases April, 16th, 2013, to the PS3 and Xbox 360.
