No Plans For Ryse on PS4 from Deep Silver; PC Minimum/Recommended Specs Coming “Soon-Ish” and More

Today Crytek and Deep Silver surprised many by announcing a PC version of the former Xbox One exclusive Ryse: Son of Rome. Microsoft seems to be hand-off on the port, with Deep Silver handling the publishing, soit’s not surprising that some wondered if we can expect a PS4 version too.

At the moment the answer to that question is no, at least from Deep Silver:

Not by us. You could ask @crytek for non-PC questions!

The publisher also promised to publish minimum and recommended specs “soon-ish.” It’ll definitely be interesting to see what kind of PC will be required to play the game at maximum settings, and how it will compare to the Xbox One.

Ryse‘s official Twitter account also answered a question on whether it’ll be possible to use our mics to reproduce the Xbox One’s voice commands, but the answer is negative.

We focused on controls via keyboard/ mouse and gamepad.

I can definitely say that I’m very willing to replay Marius’ tale on PC. I’m also wondering if this raises the chance for the game to turn into a franchise in the future, maybe with Deep Silver’s increasingly solid support.
