Nobunaga’s Ambition: Taishi was released in the west in June, but Koei Tecmo is already thinking about the future, and announced the inevitable stand-alone expansion Nobunaga’s Ambition: Taishi with Power-Up Kit.

The game will release in Japan for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC in winter 2018. At the moment no western release has been announced.

While the original game employed a battle system based on phases, the new iteration changes that to “real time” to allow a commander to more directly influence the outcome of an engagement. Strategy and tactics decision can be used at any time.

Traps have also been added and combined with strategy and tactics they can have a large effect in battle.

Castle sieges are another new element, and different tactics can be used to conquer them. On the other hand, they can be defended with special facilities and upgraded. New skills and new diplomatic features will also be included.

The announcement came with the key art and the first screenshots, which you can see below.
