The new chapter of the Nobunaga's Ambition series, Nobunaga's Ambition: Taishi was teased yesterday by Famitsu, and today the magazine came out with the first screenshots and artwork, alongside tidbits of information on the upcoming game, which is currently 20% complete.

The concept of the game, Taishi, which means "ambition," indicates that every daimiyo (warlord) has its own will, making him feel like an individual, to bring out a realistic feeling of the Sengoku era.

A Daimiyo's will will influence his goals in war and peace, and also his behavior during diplomatic encounters.  About 2,000 daimiyo will be featured.

This evolution of the AI is the major new element included in the game, and is set to challenge players beyond simply conquering as much land as possible and recruiting as many soldiers as they can.

We also learn that the maps used for the game will include a level of detailed multiplied by 100 compared to the previous game of the series.

Nobunaga's Ambition: Taishi will be released in Japan this winter, for PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC, showing that the strategy branch of Koei Tecmo already embraced Nintendo's new console.

You can check out the first screenshots below, but do keep in mind that we're looking at magazine scans, so quality is not top notch.
