More on Nomad Megalo Box

Megalo Box was initially the 50th anniversary project of legendary boxing manga Ashita no Joe, which was written by Ikki Kajiwara and illustrated by Tetsuya Chiba. The series took place in a futuristic Japan where a certain sport exists, Megalo Boxing, where boxers fight using a metal frame called Gear.

The protagonist is Junk Dog, voiced by Yoshimasa Hosoya (Reiner in Attack on Titan, Gaius in the Trails Series), who ends up participating in the Megalonia Boxing tournament under the name Gearless Joe, fighting his opponents without Gear.

Nomad Megalo Box 2 is the sequel to the first series, taking place seven years later, with Joe now going under the name Nomad.
