Not All PS4 Sold in Europe are Made in Japan as Revealed by Picture

A few days ago a rumor started floating around, hinting to the possibility that PS4 consoles released in European countries could be made in Japan, as opposed to the ones released in North America that are made in China.

Apparently that’s not true, or at least not all the units released in Europe are made in the archipelago of the rising sun, as you can see in the picture at the bottom of this post, portraying the label of a PS4 sold by UK retailer GameSeek (that tweeted the photo in response to a request by a customer). It definitely says “made in China.”

If you’re like me and trust Japanese manufacturing quality a lot more than the handiwork of overworked interns, looks like you’ll have to rely on luck this time around.
