Nurburgring 24h: Cheer on Kazunori Yamauchi With Us Tomorrow

on June 24, 2011 3:30 PM

If you follow DualShockers regularly you already know that Kazunori Yamauchi, creator of the Gran Turismo series, will be racing tomorrow and Sunday in the endurance race Nurburgring 24h. The final qualifying round has just ended, and Yamauchi’s team will start the race in 49th overall position, third position for the SP 8T class.

Since it doesn’t happen every day for a legendary game developer to take part in a legendary race, here at DualShockers we planned some special coverage, to cheer on Yamauchi together with our readers. In order to avoid clogging the site and overpowering the gaming-related news, the coverage will be focused in a single post, updated periodically, including the latest news from the track and all the info to follow the race on every available media channel. We’ll also set up an IRC channel dedicated to the event.

Both the coverage and the race will kick off tomorrow (Saturday) at 4 PM Local time (CEST), 7 AM PDT and 10 AM EDT, and will continue over the following twenty-four hours. Make sure not to miss it and come cheer on Kaz and his team with us!
