Lucasfilm recently dropped the final episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi, the latest Disney Plus Tv show set in the massive world of Star Wars. The first season featured six episodes, and the Tv show mostly got a positive reception from fans because of its direction and story. Now, Star Wars fans who loved experiencing a new journey of Kenobi against Anakin Skywalker want the show to return with the second season.

Lucasfilm previously stated that Obi-Wan Kenobi would be a limited series, implying there are no plans for a Season 2. Also, when writing this post, there's no official confirmation from Disney Plus or Lucasfilm regarding Obi-Wan Kenobi's renewal for a second season. However, the good news is that Hayden Christensen (Darth Vader) and Ewan McGregor (Obi-Wan Kenobi) want to return for more seasons.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, McGregor confirmed that Obi-Wan Kenobi started off as a "One-off limited series." However, when asked about the possibility of getting a season 2, the actor said, "Yeah, I would like to make another one." Christensen also stated to Radiotimes that he would love to continue playing his character on the TV show. "You know, I think there's certainly more there to explore, and I would be so excited to get to do so," the actor said in the interview.

On top of that, Deborah Chow, the show's director, said they still have another ten years before reaching A New Hope. So, the creators can write more stories for Obi-Wan Kenobi without impacting the canon. However, Chow confirmed to Radiotimes that the studio approached Obi-Wan Kenobi as a standalone story.

Even though Kenobi makes it out alive in the final episode, we didn't see any hint or cliffhanger to tease the show's return. Of course, there's a chance that the creators would think of writing another season, but they clearly haven't thought about it as of now. Even if the actors would love to return for season 2, they can't do anything until the writers or the production house green lights another season. So, for now, we have no choice but to move and look forward to the release of Andor, the next Star Wars series coming out to Disney Plus, on August 31st, 2022.
