Coming from the team’s experience on their previous title, Layers of Fear, developer Bloober Team is working up a whole new kind of horror with the studio’s upcoming title Observer, which is on track to terrify gamers this summer.

In an update on the PlayStation Blog, Bloober Team’s Rafal Basaj confirmed that Observer will have a release window of summer 2017 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, following a teaser video that released for the title within the past few weeks.

Observer is set to bring a cyberpunk-infused style of terror to gamers, with a description from Basaj explaining that the game will be based around one question: “what would you do if your fears were hacked?”

Specifically, Basaj addressed that the development team at Bloober “learned a lot since our first game, Layers of Fear,” and that the studio was looking to explore “a different kind of horror game” that exposes “something deeper, more cerebral, and psychological.”

Observer will release this summer for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
