Obsidian May Announce A New Project At Xbox Showcase As Concept Artist Teases
Obsidian is doing amazing!
Obsidian seems to be busier than we had imagined, as a concept artist hints at the imminent announcement of a new project they have been working on at Obsidian for two years!
Originally known for their stellar work on Fallout New Vegas as well as the Pillars of Eternity franchise, Obsidian Entertainment is a veteran RPG developer in the industry, and we can all agree that it was such a brilliant acquisition for Microsoft.

Currently working on Avowed, The Outer Worlds 2, and Grounded, Obsidian is one of the busy studios at Xbox Game Studios. Still, it seems the team has also started working on another project, which is seemingly led by Josh Sawyer.
An Unannounced Game from Obsidian Entertainment Could Be a Huge Surprise At Xbox Games Showcase
Hannah Kennedy is a concept artist working at Obsidian Entertainment, who has mentioned in their Twitter Bio that they are working on an unannounced project.
Earlier today, the concept artist shared a tweet expressing their excitement about when they can finally share more details about the project that they have been working on for two years.
Sharing such a tweet less than a week before Microsoft’s Xbox Showcase could be easily counted as a tease for the show, especially when Josh Sawyer, a director and game designer at Obsidian, responds to the tweet with a Folded Hands emoji.
Previously, we have heard some rumors around another big RPG from Obsidian led by Josh Sawyer, the director behind the Pillars of Eternity franchise. While some believe this could be the third installment from the Pillars of Eternity series, others point out an old rumor claiming a brand-new detective-style IP from the studio.
Aside from this, we have heard from multiple insiders that Obsidian will probably show more footage from Avowed as well as an announcement for the full version of Grounded.
