Octodad: Dadliest Catch Has Sold Over 90K Digital Copies to Date

According to today’s update on the Young Horses’ official blog, Octodad: Dadliest Catch has currently sold over 90,000 digital copies of its indie title on PC, Mac, and Linux platforms.

The Young Horses devs worked on Octodad for two and a half years essentially for free, while their Kickstarter funds paid for all the development costs. But the sales and reception of the small-time title, as their blog post states, have exceeded their expectations.

It’s great to see such success stem from what was originally a freeware game made by a group of college students.
