Today's issue of Weekly Famitsu included the reveal of the release date for Japan of the previously-announced Okami HD port for Nintendo Switch.

The game will come to Japan on August 9th, and it'll cost 2,990 yen plus taxes at retail, 2,769 yen plus taxes on the Nintendo eShop, and 3,990 yen plus taxes for the collector's edition.

At the moment a western release date has not been disclosed, but speculating on Capcom's recent patterns, it should come pretty much at the same time, especially considering that the launch on PS4, Xbox One, and PC was actually one day earlier in the west compared to Japan.

I would not be surprised if the announcement from Capcom fame soon, possibly even this week.

If you are not familiar with the game and want to know what we thought about the remaster, you can check out our review of the PC version. You can also take a look at the launch trailer from December.

If you haven't jumped on the PS4 and Xbox One versions yet, you can grab them for cheap on Amazon.
