Today Capcom released a batch of new screenshots of the upcoming Okami remaster aptly titled Okami HD.

The screenshots, accompanied by lovely artwork, introduce some of the characters that appear in the game.

We get to see the swordsman Susano, the young village maiden Kushi, the young fisherman Kokari and his dog Ume, and the guardian of the Moon Cave, Waka.

On top of that, we also see the key art and the map of the land, in Okami‘s lovely art style that charmed a generation (actually, two).

You can check them all out below and swoon at their simple beauty.  If you want to see more, you can also enjoy some gameplay trailers from earlier today, the original announcement, and more gameplay from a while ago.

The game will launch for PS4, Xbox One, and PC in North America and Europe on December 12th, priced at a definitely reasonable $19.99. The Japanese release will actually come a few days later, on December 21st.
