Okamiden Came Out Yesterday, I Pray to Amaterasu You Bought It

I know you guys have a lot of games to play, but please, do not miss this game. As usual, Capcom’s done a bang-up job of advertising this one, as they have done with their previous handheld masterpiece, Ghost Trick, so I probably shouldn’t need to tell you guys again. But just in case you didn’t know, Okamiden, the follow-up to the amazing, Zelda-inspired action game Okami, is already out on shelves for the DS, begging to be purchased.

In this one you’ll control Chibiterasu, a young sun god that may or may not be related to Amaterasu from the first game, and fight demons and all other sorts of baddies in the Okami world. You’ll come across a cast of characters you may know from the first game, along with the same unique paintbrush skills that made Okami stand out from the rest of the pack.

If Okamiden is as long as the first one, at $30 you’re not going to find a better deal for such a solid amount of gameplay. Buy it; if you don’t, I will find you and do very bad things to your DS.

Allen Park

Allen is an utter whore of a gamer; he's completely open-minded to all games, be they AAA blockbusters or $5 casual children's games. His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
