One Bullet Can Change History; WWII in Africa in Sniper Elite 3 "Tobruk" Trailer

December 19, 2013

If you’re a gamer who has been playing most mainstream games for the last two decades, chances are you’ve fought battled Nazis in Europe or the Japanese in the Pacific in at least ONE game. Rebellion Games and 505 Games’ upcoming Sniper Elite 3, however, is taking players to Africa, and introducing OSS and elite sniper Karl Fairburne to the ancient city of Tobruk in Libya in the latest trailer on the game.

“Tobruk” shows off the location and the next-gen tech that gamers can expect to see when Sniper Elite 3 releases to the PS4, Xbox One and PC next year in 2014. The game will also be coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360 sometime next year.

It’s refreshing to get something a little different, for once, since most games make players tread over the same territory over and over again. Seems like a small trend has been rising to do tropical or jungle locales, but if it means a little more diversity and some new sights, I’m all for it.

Born and raised in video games and "geek culture," Masoud has been bred off of fantasy worlds his entire life and doesn't see anything wrong with that. He loves RPGs (especially TRPGs), sandbox games, the sci-fi genre, dieselpunk, art deco, and anything that allows him to create. Having graduated from John Jay College with a degree in English and a minor in Creative Writing, Masoud hopes to one day pen the same novels, comics, movies, and video games he enjoys escaping into when the real world gets too boring.
