Today (July 22nd, 2021) is officially the 24th anniversary of the incredible manga series, One Piece.

Obviously, the popularity of Eiichiro Oda's manga series knows no bounds, and that's why several fans went on to social media to celebrate 'One Piece Day 2021.'

In July 1997, Shueisha serialized One Piece in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. Since then, the manga has sold more than 490 million copies to become the best-selling Japanese manga of all time.

When writing this article, One Piece has more than 1000 chapters sorted out in 99 volumes. The 100th volume of the series is scheduled to release on September 3rd, 2021. Interestingly, to commemorate the release of the upcoming volume, the creators have announced multiple collaboration projects.

Similar to the manga, the anime adaptation of One Piece also flaunts a massive viewer base. The anime is extremely close to completing 1000 episodes, and there's no soul on this planet who wants this incredible series to end.

Fans Celebrate One Piece Day 2021

Of course, we don't get a holiday for One Piece Day, but it is undoubtedly a special day for the Straw Hat fans. The manga that started with Monkey D. Luffy in a barrel has created its own universe over the years. That's why One Piece fans didn't shy away from expressing their love for the manga on social media.

Viz Media started the One Piece Day celebration by dedicating a post to Luffy on Twitter.
