One Piece Film Red has become the fourth highest-grossing anime film of all time worldwide. It has also become the eighth highest-grossing film of all time in Japan, surpassing the previous eighth-place holder Howl's Moving Castle and Princess Mononoke. Eiichiro Oda drew a new visual starring Luffy to commemorate the feat, viewable below.

The official One Piece Film Red Twitter announced the movie sold over 14 million tickets, resulting in approximately 19.7 billion yen (about $152 million) in Japan as of January 29, making it the country's eighth highest-earning film of all time. The film completed its historical theatrical run with a total of 31.9 billion yen (roughly $245 million), surpassing Howl's Moving Castle as the fourth highest-grossing anime film globally. This number puts One Piece Film Red behind Demon Slayer - Kimetsu No Yaiba - The Movie: Mugen Train, Spirited Away, and Your Name in the list of highest grossing films in the country.

One Piece Film Red has broken multiple records domestically and globally since its launch, topping Japan's box office in terms of yens earned and tickets sold. The film made a total of $12 million in its second week in the United States. It also had the biggest opening for an anime film in France. One Piece Film Red is currently the highest-grossing anime film of Toei Animation. Opened first in August last year, it has become the franchise's highest-selling film installment at the box office.

The fifteenth feature film of the One Piece franchise, One Piece Film Red was directed by Goro Taniguchi and produced by Toei Animation. Based on the manga written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda, the film focuses on a new character, Uda, Shanks' daughter voiced by Kaori Nazuka and Ado. The cast of One Piece Film Red also includes Kenjiro Tsudo as Gordon, Mayumi Tanaka as Luffy, Yuki Yamada as Eboshi, and Masafumi Kimura as Charlotte Owen.

Masayuki Satou served as character designer and chief animation director with Tsutomu Kuroiwa as scriptwriter. One Piece Film Red ended its theatrical run in Japan as of today.
