Today Bandai Namco officially revealed a new PlayStation VR exclusive game titled One Piece: Grand Cruise.

The game's official site has been opened, and the genre is indicated as "Pirate Experience Action."

For the moment, there is no release date, nor any indication of a western localization. What we do know is that it'll include events that will let players interact with the series' characters in virtual reality, a 360 degrees view of familiar environments, and naval battles.

In case you have lived under a rock over the past twenty years, One Piece originated as a manga by Eiichiro Oda serialized in Shonen Jump since 2017, and it's still ongoing. An anime series has also been aired for almost 800 episodes since 1999. Multiple anime films and OVAs for the home video market complete the picture of one of the most successful manga franchises of all time.

Of course, the series has also been adapted into a gazillion of video games, starting from the 2000 title From TV Animation - One Piece: Become the Pirate King! on WonderSwan, to One Piece: Burning Blood and One Piece: Great Pirate Colosseum in September 2016.

A piece of key art and two screenshots have been released, and you can see them below.
