What to Expect
The livestream will start by sharing new information on One Piece Film Red, most notably revealing the voice of Uta. The mysterious character, who for now was currently described as “Shank’s daughter” (probably adopted) is also heavily hinted to be the movie’s main antagonist.
The stream’s schedule also teases an “Uta Project” reveal, which makes me believe that Uta will be voiced by a particularly popular Japanese singer.
The final part of the livestream will concern One Piece announcements as a whole, not necessarily linked to the movie.
The Netflix Series
More and more cast members have been revealed these past few weeks. On June 6, six more characters were revealed alongside a screenshot of the Going Merry. We could get our first trailer on the stream.
One Piece Odyssey
We might see a few more details about the RPG adaptation coming to PlayStation, Xbox and PC soon. As a reminder, the game is developed by Ilca, who recently made [email protected] Starlit Season, so the studio is quite versed when it comes to anime-like settings. For now, Bandai Namco detailed the game’s turn-based battle system.
Keep in mind that even if we don’t get a glimpse of One Piece Odyssey at this livestream, the game was confirmed for the Summer Game Fest live on June 9.
One Piece Film Red will launch on August 6, 2022 in Japanese theaters. The movie was also confirmed to release in France on August 10. A date in the US was not announced yet.
