The Japanese are apparently very excited about the upcoming Tecmo Koei and Namco Bandai collaboration One Piece Pirate Musou. The game has already been pre-ordered a whopping 500,000 times, surely setting the stage for it to be one of the country's biggest games of the year. That's why it isn't surprising that the game is getting its own specially designed PS3 console.

This happens all the time with big games over there and isn't a huge deal, but a new technique that creates the art and decoration for the system during the pressing process will be implemented for the first time with this unit. So I guess that's a thing, I don't know.

One Piece Musou is due March 1st in Japan.
